TETRA PAK HUB MODENA

Tetra Pak Hub is located in the industrial district of Modena, an area that combines tradition, innovation and style and is home to the world famous car manufacturers Ferrari and Lamborghini. Tetra Pak commissioned the building as an innovation and training hub to be built adjacent to their existing Italian headquarters. this stunning and highly functional contemporary design is an expression of tetra Pak’s international brand image and of their corporate commitment to quality and innovation.

The overall building plan comprises an elliptical glass core, two rows of pillars encircling the core building and a surrounding park. the glass building contains a double height, sinuous space for informal working, with training rooms on the ground floor and an open-plan working area on the first floor. the dynamic design of the interior gives the space an airy quality and the tall glass walls overlooking the park allow plenty of natural light in, suffusing the building with calm and serenity. the colourful pillars adorning the north and south sides of the glass building are finished with cocciopesto, an ancient roman red-brick veneer commonly used in rural parts of central Italy. outdoor working pavilions have been set up in the surrounding park.

Our design boasts advanced energy saving technologies that increase efficiency via thermal insulation, masking solar irradiation in warmer periods and absorbing solar heat in colder periods. the deciduous trees in the garden work as natural screens that block and allow the sunlight as they adapt to seasonal changes. tetra Pak Hub was designed to create the ideal working environment where architecture blends harmoniously with nature to enhance performance, lifestyle and wellbeing in the workplace.
